Recommendation of the week : |
| Richard Hawley - Lady's Bridge
Born in 1967 in Sheffield, Hawley has released five albums since
2000. Very proud of his working class upbringing, Hawley sings
very much in his own accent. He sounds a bit like Morressey only
much much less depressing.
Hawley's latest album Lady's bridge features a number of great
ballads and soulful songs including the hit single Tonight the
streets are ours (2007).

saved my life"

Recommendation of the week : |
| WORLD WAR Z
This is a gripping account of the struggles of the Zombie World
War. The novel is essentially a mockumentary in book form. A journalist
is interviewing survivors of the war against the undead and their
very personal accounts reveal an aspect of the larger plot. The
story mixes elements of science fiction, horror, techno-thriller
and satire. Influences include “The War of the Worlds”
and “28 days later” Satirical targets include the
war on terror, environmentalism and celebrity culture.
World War Z is a phenomenon with fans including Simon Pegg “Shaun
of the Dead” and a movie version is in the pipeline. By
turns funny and disturbing you won’t be able to put it down.

| Adam
Schmitt – Burnin |
 |
Adam Schmitt is a 22-year old
singer/songwriter from Minneapolis. He's basically awesome.
Listen to the music and see for yourself. |
| Adama
- Limbo |
 |
Describing Adama's style creates interesting
thoughts within those who try to do so. Adama's rich, velvet
voice brings to mind visions of Sade, Seal and Dido. The music,
electronica by nature, is strong with pop-appeal, inviting
the word-of-mouth genre/term, electro-pop, for company.
