Andy's Recommendation of the week :

Mark Brown feat. Sarah Cracknell
The Journey

You know that TV advert called "The Journey" for a bank where people get on a train and it kinda shows their entire life in 30 seconds, Its got that strange vocal soundtrack as well. I think this is one of the most depressing things ever to watch and DEFINATELY wouldn't convince me to buy the product.

I was surprised this week however when I heard producer Mark Brown has released a sampled version of this song with guest female vocalist Sarah Cracknell, previously from amazing 90s group St Etienne. Its really rather good and the haunting vocals work well.

The video is rather quirky and its possible to catch a glimpse of Brown and Cracknell making cameo appearances.

Len's Recommendation of the week :

Published by Pressdam Ltd
Private-eye.co.uk

Private Eye is a satirical magazine published every 2 weeks. First published in 1961 it emerged from the satire boom of the 1960s. Now edited by Have I Got News For You panellist Ian Hislop it continues to be a thorn in the side of the British establishment. Renowned for libel cases from the likes of Sir James Goldsmith and Robert Maxwell many of its contributors are public figures that write anonymously. It is full of running in-jokes and phrases e.g. “Tired and emotional=drunk”. The latest feature is Wkipedia Whispers, which reveals celebrities who have attempted to edit their own Wkipedia entries.
Private Eye is available from major newsagents like WH Smith.
